Warner Bros. Games and DC have released Gotham Knights on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S ($59.99).

In Gotham Knights, Batman/Bruce Wayne has apparently been killed (sure), leaving the protection of Gotham to four of his young proteges: Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin.

In this original story, players can choose to play (and switch between) any of the four protagonists.

Each hero has their own gadgets and playstyle. Red Hood wields pistols and mystical powers, Batgirl uses her tonfa and computer hacking skills, while Nightwing and Robin take advantage of superior traversal abilities, such as gliding, grappling, and teleporting.

But one hero doesn’t have to go it alone. The action-RPG can be played solo, or with two player online co-op.

While investigating Batman’s death, our young heroes will tackle with Gotham’s notorious rogue’s gallery, including Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, and Clayface.

“We’re honored to be able to tell a new story centered around our four heroes – Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin,” said Patrick Redding, Creative Director, Warner Bros. Games Montréal. “Gotham Knights is the culmination of the hard work by the entire Warner Bros. Games Montréal team to deliver a unique gameplay experience that transports players into the roles of these characters, whether playing solo or with a friend in online co-op and bring to life some of the most infamous DC Super-Villains in new ways. We’re thrilled to finally share Gotham Knights with fans around the world.”

Gotham Knights is rated T for Teen.
