The Lego Group, along with publisher Thunderful and developer ClockStone (Bridge Constructor) have announced a new adventure-puzzle game set in the world of LEGO. LEGO Bricktales is launching later this year.

It looks like a fun combination of Bridge Constructor and Captain Toad, with the always enjoyable LEGO theme.

In Bricktales, players will explore five different LEGO biomes: jungle, desert, city, castle, and island. Each level appears as a small, isometric diorama (think Captain Toad). A minifigure will need help in each area, such as building a bridge, or a helicopter. Time to build!

Build mode features a set of specific pieces for each puzzle, allowing you to build a LEGO construction, brick by brick. Then you will witness real physics apply, and see if your LEGO helicopter can really take off and land.

“After more than two years, it feels incredible to finally announce what we have been working on behind closed doors. We’re honored to have this opportunity to collaborate with the largest toy brand worldwide,” said Dieter Schoeller, Vice-President, Thunderful. “With LEGO Bricktales, we’ve made it our mission to tap into what it is that makes LEGO play so special. Our intuitive brick-by-brick building mechanic allows players to engage with LEGO bricks in a video game the same way the toys have been inspiring people’s imagination and creativity for decades.”

Platforms have not been announced, but we noticed there’s a LEGO Bricktales store page on Steam.
