European developer and publisher Rebellion has released Evil Genius 2: World Domination on Steam PC ($39.99). A 10% launch discount is available through April 6. Watch the new launch trailer (above).

Evil Genius 2 is a strategy and simulation game where you play as a villainous mastermind with your own secret lair and minions. Build, design, and customize your lair with different rooms, research departments, and devious traps for would-be spies. Hire henchman and minions to go on missions around the world to gain influence and money, and ultimately take over the world.

Choose between four evil geniuses to begin your villainous career. The militaristic general Red Ivan, manipulative spymaster Emma, mad scientist Zalika, or all-around dastardly thief Maximillian. Each villain has their specialty, as well as their own distinct campaign and storyline.

The sequel is a direct follow-up to the original 2004 strategy game, which was itself based on the lair building gameplay of the Dungeon Keeper series.

Evil Genius 2 is available in a standard edition as well as a Deluxe Edition ($59.99) that includes a season pass. The season pass includes post-launch DLC, including a campaign pack, lair pack, and two each of henchman and minion packs. The season pass can also be purchased separately for $24.99.

Evil Genius 2: World Domination is available on Steam. It has not been rated by the ESRB, but the original game was T for Teen.
