One of the most beloved Nintendo 64 games is finally getting its due in the HD era. Nintendo has announced that New Pokémon Snap will release on April 30 on Nintendo Switch. Watch the new trailer above.

As in the original 1999 game, you play as a photographer in the Pokémon world, tasked with taking pictures of wild Pokémon. New Pokémon Snap features over 200 Pokémon to find as you explore the beaches, jungles, and desert islands that make up the archipelago of the Lental Region.

The Lengtal Region features a unique glowing phenomenon called Illumina, which can cause Pokémon to light up and glow in the dark. Discovering the origins of this mystery is part of the main task.

Players can explore the islands using their Neo-One auto-driving vehicle, letting players focus on taking pictures while they travel, like a theme park ride. Professor Mirror will evaluate each picture based on several factors, earning higher scores and filling out their pokédex.

“New Pokémon Snap presents a fun twist on a Pokémon adventure, with enchanting gameplay that lets players see some of their favorite Pokémon in a different light,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior VP. “This new game is a fun addition to the strong lineup of Pokémon titles available on Nintendo Switch, and we can’t wait to see everyone’s pictures when New Pokémon Snap launches on April 30.”
