Rocket League Season 2 is going live next week on December 9, adding a new Rocket Pass of unlockable goodies, a new arena, and a large focus on music with the addition of Player Anthems.

Player Anthems are a new customization option that allows players to select a Rocket League music track to play after scoring a goal.

With Player Anthems also comes more music. Psyonix is partnering with music label Monstercat and artist Kaskade to create a mini-album (EP) for Rocket League Season 2. The first track, “Flip Reset,” can be heard in the Season 2 trailer above, with new music being added throughout the season.

Continuing the music theme is an EDM-inspired Arena called Neon Fields, and new music-themed items in the Season 2 Rocket Pass, including lights that pulse in time with menu and arena music, like in the very first unlock with the new R3MX sports car.

Season 2 also includes new Challenges and rewards, the return of the Casual Limited Time Mode playlist, and changes to the Esports Shop.

Rocket League is available on PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. It recently moved to a free-to-play model earlier this year, supported by Fortnite-style seasonal passes. It’s rated E for Everyone.
