Paradox Interactive and Romero Games have released Empire of Sin, a strategy management game set in Chicago during the roaring 1920s. It’s available on Steam PC (Win, Mac), PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.

In Empire of Sin you play as one of 14 gang bosses with the goal of building your own criminal empire during the classic Prohibition era. Manage casinos, speakeasies, and supply chains as you build an underworld economy. If trade deals fail and shakedowns go wrong, you can always recruit from a pool of dozens of gangsters and engage in turn-based tactical combat to defend or expand your territory.

“Empire of Sin is labor of love, a game I’ve wanted to make for 20 years,” said Brenda Romero, game director, Romero Games. “If games are about wish fulfillment, anyone who’s ever wished to run a criminal empire is in for a treat. We designed the game to put you right there in the thick of the action, at the very beginning of Prohibition. It goes without saying, but I’ll say it — the Empire of Sin team can’t wait to get this game into players’ hands.”

In addition to the standard game ($39.99), you can also purchase the Deluxe ($49.99) and Premium Editions ($69.99). The Deluxe Edition includes some extra digital goodies like the Mobster Pack and Golden Weapon Set. The Premium Edition also includes the Expansion Pass for future downloadable content.

Empire of Sin is rated M for Mature.
