The annual Halloween event for ARK: Survival Evolved is now live. Fear Evolved adds spooky chibis, ghost skins, and a return of previous years’ favorite items, monsters, and skins.
The two big Fear Evolved boss monsters, DodoRex and DodoWyvern, make their terrifying return, along with zombie wyverns and skeletal dinosaurs. The zombie wyverns will actually remain after the event ends if you can tame them.
New additions are the ghost dinosaurs and creatures, including Ghost Rex, Ghost Mantis, and Ghost Direwolf. By killing ghost creatures in the wild, you can acquire their ghost skins to customize your own beasts.
By killing DodoWyvern and DodoRex you can find new skeletal chibis, adorable little pets that follow you around. Eleven new chibi pets are given the skeletal treatment, including Trike, Raptor, and Rex.
Other new additions include spooky emotes, creature event colors, and Halloween-themed clothing items, many of which have been featured in previous years.
While the event lasts, breeding, harvesting, and taming will all go twice as fast. You’ll also earn experience at double the normal rate.
Fear Evolved is going on now and lasts through November 6 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. ARK is also available on Switch and mobile devices.
