Square Enix is dropping a massive new patch for Final Fantasy 14 Online on August 11. Patch 5.3, titled “Reflections in Crystal,” includes tons of improvements and additions. Most notably, the free trial has been greatly expanded, adding the well-received Heavensward expansion.

The new free trial for Final Fantasy 14 allows unlimited play time up through level 60, and include the first expansion released in 2015, Heavensward. The free trial will also include the Au Ra race, and three jobs: Dark Knight, Astrologian, and Machinist.

New players will enjoy a revamped main scenario questline, designed to give newcomers a streamlined experience through the story leading to Heavensward. After completing the Ultimate Weapon quest, players will be able to use flying mounts to quickly get around.

The upcoming patch also brings the finale of the Shadowbringers storyline. Shadowbringers, released last year as the third expansion for Final Fantasy 14, added new jobs, races, and locations.

Other new additions include a new dungeon, new trial, new weapons series quest, and numerous balance changes and system updates.

Final Fantasy 14 Online recently surpassed 20 million total registered users. After a rocky initial release in 2010, the MMORPG was rebooted as A Realm Reborn in 2013. Final Fantasy 14 Online is available on PC, (Windows and Mac) and PlayStation 4. It’s rated T for Teen.
