One of the biggest games of the early 90s (and one of the first computer games I ever played), was Myst. The seminal first-person adventure game has since been remade as realMyst in 2000, rebuilding the faux 3D world with an actual 3D engine.

RealMyst: Masterpiece Edition is arriving on Nintendo Switch courtesy of Skymap Games. It’s currently available at a discount of $15.99 (normally $19.99).

“So many of us here at Cyan are huge, long-time fans of Nintendo, and we appreciate Skymap’s expert help in bringing realMyst to the Nintendo Switch,” said Rand Miller, CEO, Cyan Worlds. “The flexibility of the Nintendo Switch is really exciting – allowing the surreal environments of Myst to be experienced in whatever environment you find yourself.”

RealMyst features the same exploration-puzzle design of the original masterpiece. Journey across the Myst Island and transport into different ages, solve logic puzzles, and discover the secret behind the trapped brothers and the magic books.

RealMyst: Masterpiece Edition was released in 2014, running in the Unity engine and providing a graphical overhaul. It includes the bonus Rime Age content and the original musical score. The Switch version includes both touch and free movement navigation modes. It also provides an in-game hit guide so you don’t have to pull up a Google search or a Wiki page every time you get stuck.

RealMyst: Masterpiece Edition is available now on Nintendo Switch. It’s rated E for Everyone.
