Hospital sim Two Point Hospital is celebrating its one year anniversary with the release of its third DLC, Close Encounters. The anniversary is also marked by a free weekend event. From now until September 2 you can play Two Point Hospital for free on PC (Steam). Two Point Hospital is also available for purchase at a special 50% discount, with the first two DLC packs discounted to 33% off, until September 5.

Close Encounters, available at a lunch discount of 10% off, adds 34 new space-themed illnesses, including 11 visual illnesses like Flat-packed, Frogborne, and Science Friction. The DLC also adds three new hospital locations, three new animated cure machines, and new DJ lines from Harrison Wolf.

Also available today is the DLC item pack, Retro Items Pack, which adds decorative items like a jukebox, pinball machines, antennae TV, and a grammaphone, creating a fairly wide range of what we would consider retro.

Two Point Hospital is available on Steam. The free weekend lasts until September 2. It’s also coming to consoles (PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One) later this year. It’s rated E10+ for Animated Blood and Crude Humor.
