During this week’s Nintendo Direct, Dragon Quest Builders 2 was given an official release date: July 12 on Switch and PlayStation 4.

The sequel to 2016’s Dragon Quest Builders adds online multiplayer as a major new feature. Up to four players can explore the Minecraft-like building block world together. Defeat monsters, help townsfolk, and build towns and farms. Players will be able to build larger structures, farm crops, travel across the sea and on air, and fast-travel using a retro-inspired map.

You’ll also be able to choose between a boy or girl character, and there’s a different trailer for each.

The story features the heroic builder washing ashore on the Isle of Awakening, where they meet a somewhat monstrous young boy named Malroth. Together you’ll adventure through the land, establish a foothold, and defeat the Children of Hargon.

In addition to the intro movie trailer (above), Square Enix released a gameplay trailer (below), called “A Day in the Life of a Builder.” The trailer showcases building, exploring, battling, and completing quests.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 has not yet been rated by the ESRB. The original is rated E10+ for Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood, Mild Language, Mild Suggestive themes, and Alcohol References. It’s out on July 12 on PlayStation 4 and Switch.
