The first DLC for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is so big Ubisoft is releasing it in episodes. The first of three episodes for Legacy of the First Blade will arrive on Dec. 4 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch.
The first episode is titled Hunted, and continues the hero’s journey to find Darius, the original wielder of the classic Assassin’s Creed weapon, the hidden blade. Players will meet new characters, fight new foes, battle in naval combat, and uncover secrets about the Assassin’s Creed world.
The Legacy of the First Blade DLC will add new equipment and special abilities, as well as continuing the new feature of player choice and dialogue as you build relationships with the people you meet.
After Hunted, the second episode, Shadow Heritage and the third episode, Bloodline, will complete the story in early 2019. That won’t be the end of the post-launch story DLC, however. Ubisoft has plans for another three-episode story-based DLC, called The Fate of Atlantis.
Legacy of the Blade can be purchased separately or as part of the Season Pass ($39.99). The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass includes both Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis, as well as two bonus games: Assassin’s Creed III Remastered and Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered, both launching in March 2019.
