EA and Maxis have released the latest expansion to The Sims 4: Get Famous. The expansion pack adds the new acting career, a new Reputation System, and a new high-class region called Del Sol Valley. It’s available now on PC and Mac for $39.99. Watch the cute, in-game trailer above.
Sims can enjoy their rise to fame through the new acting career, where they can star in TV, commercials, or major motion pictures. New skills let Sims become a modern day influencer and streamer, or simply become famous in whatever field they choose. Fame Points unlock new perks and quirks along with the new Reputation System.
“The Sims 4 Get Famous gives players a chance to experience the highs and lows and everything in between when it comes to the wild, unpredictable life of fame,” said Grant Rodiek, Senior Producer. “With the new acting career, Sims can pursue their breakout role in the show business, or step into the spotlight in any career of their choice – the possibilities are endless! Our team has worked hard to bring this highly-requested expansion to the players, and we can’t wait for them to tell exciting new stories of their Sims’ path to stardom in Del Sol Valley.”
The new region of Del Sol Valley features two main areas. Mirage Park is where you’ll probably begin as you work your way up to affording the mansions of The Pinnacle. The expansion pack also addds new decorations and outfits that befit a fashion-forward celebrity, incluiding gold-plated furniture and even a Scrooge McDuck-style money vault.
The Sims 4: Get Famous is available now on Origin. It’s rated T for Teen.
