When ghosts invade your town, you better know who to call. Ghostbusters World is the latest AR-powered, licensed mobile game, and it’s launching today on iOS and Android mobile devices. It’s free to download with in-app purchases. Watch the new launch trailer above.
Ghostbusters World features hundreds of ghosts prowling around your neighborhood, using AR technology like Pokémon GO.
Players will need to strap on their proton packs and take the streets to find and capture wayward ghosts. Ghosts are drawn from the movies as well as the expanded Ghostbusters universe, including video games, animated TV shows, and comic books.
Captured ghosts can be used in the battle zone of the ghost dimension, as well as asynchronous multiplayer battles versus other ‘busters. Up to four players can join forces to defeat boss monsters like the iconic Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in co-op raid battles.
Dimension doors can be found throughout the world that provide resources to find, capture, and improve your ghosts.
A single player campaign is also available. It’s written and designed by the creative team behind the Ghostbsuters IDW comic book series.
Ghostbusters World is published by Four Thirty Three in conjunction with Sony Pictures and Ghost Corps. It requires Android 6.0 or iOS 8.0 and at least an iPhone 5s. It’s rated E for Everyone.
