Indie monster simulator Monster Loves You! is now available on Switch. It’s a choice-driven interactive novel that lets you live the life of a monster, and choose whether to be a terror, a hero, or something in between.

You play as a newly birthed monsterling in the village of Omen, a world of classic fairy tales. The nearby villages of humans hate and fear you, and they even killed your parents. Everything comes down to multiple choices with consequences that affect your personality. If you find lost children in the woods, you can terrorize them to increase Ferocity, or rescue them to bolster your Kindness.

The story features over 900 choices that ultimately determine what kind of monster you become. The different traits you can improve are Bravery, Cleverness, Ferocity, Honesty, Kindness, and Respect. There are over a dozen possible endings based on the choices you made and that ratio of traits you achieved.

Monster Loves You! originally released in 2013 on PC, and later on PlayStation 4 and mobile. It was developed by two indie developers, Radial Games Corp and Dejobaan Games. It was rated T for Teen, but the Switch trailer indicates this new version has a new E10+ rating. It’s available now.
