Akupara Games and indie developer Night Light Interactive announced indie adventure game Whispering Willows for the Switch. It’s releasing September 27, and available for pre-order now on the Nintendo eShop ($9.99).

Whispering Willows stars young woman Elena Elkhorn on a journey to find her missing father. She explores the haunted Willows Mansion using a mysterious amulet to astral project. Her astral projection enters the ghostly realm to communicate with spirits and solve various puzzles.

The Switch version utilizes the HD Rumble to alert you to nearby spirits. A slow pulse will activate around friendly ghosts, while a rapid vibration will alert you to angrier spirits.

The area in and around Willows Mansion features hand-drawn 2D art as well as an original soundtrack featuring suitably spooky music and sound effects.

Whispering Willows originally launched on Ouya and PC (Steam), Mac, and Linux back in 2014 after a small but successful Kickstarter campaign in 2013. It has since been ported to PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Xbox One, Wii U, and iOS.

Whispering Willows will arrive on Nintendo Switch on September 27. It’s rated T for Teen with Violence, Blood, and Suggestive Themes. Pre-order is available now.
