Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man takes Peter Parker far beyond his origin story into an older, more experienced superhero who still struggles with a work-life balance. Players will also play as Peter Parker working as an investigative journalist. Spidey can swing around an interactive New York City and battle old and new villains in an original story designed just for the game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man is available in Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes access to three post-launch DLC packs.
DLC 1, The Heist, will introduce Black Cat when it drops on October 23. Details for the other two DLC are still forthcoming, but the second (Turf Wars) should arrive in November, while the third (Silver Lining) is scheduled for a December release.
The Collector’s Edition features a steelbook, mini artbook, Spider-Man statue, as well as the DLC packs.
You can also nab Marvel’s Spider-Man in a Limited Edition PS4 Pro Bundle. The bundle includes a customized red PS4 Pro console featuring the Spider-Man logo, red controller, and a physical copy of the game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man is rated T for Teen with Blood, Drug Reference, Language, and Violence. It’s out now, and available only on PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro.
