Nintendo has released a free software update to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch. The update adds the Master Cycle Zero vehicle and Champion’s Tunic Link racer from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

In addition to the new vehicle and skin, the update also adds new legendary parts. You can now customize your kart with the Ancient Tyres and the Paraglider parts.

The Champion’s Tunic Link skin is an aesthetic change, while the Master Cycle Zero and new parts have their own stats.

This free content update comes just after the update that added Nintendo Labo support to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. By purchasing the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con: Variety Kit, you can assemble the Toy-Con Motorbike and use motion controls to race. Labo controls are compatible through both TV mode or by directly inserting the Switch into the Motorbike’s dashboard.

An older version of the Master Cycle was added as paid DLC to the original Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launched in Spring 2017 as an updated version to Mario Kart 8, including all previously released DLC.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild update is available now for free for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch.
