Cooperative arcade racing game Trailblazers launched earlier this year on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Switch owners can breath a sigh of relief, as Rising Star Games have announced a Switch version launching in September. Trailblazers will also be available for physical retail for both Switch and PlayStation 4 at that time.

Trailblazers is a unique racer where you paint sections of the track as you race, not unlike Splatoon. Racers can boost on their own painted color tracks, and paint over their opponents’ tracks to slow them down. Tracks zoom through forests, mountains, and deserts as you race in futuristic hover cars, F-Zero style.

The gameplay supports both single player and multiplayer. Up to six racers can join forces together online in 3v3 matches. Local multiplayer supports up to four players via split-screen. You can play both local and online multiplayer together.

As a solo player you can embark on a series of asymmetrical challenges in Story Mode.

The upcoming Switch version will include extra bonus content, including a new racer, “Boo’s Dad,” available at launch. Trailblazers also supports cross-platform play.

Trailblazers will launch on Switch in September in both digital and physical retail. It’s available now digitally on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s rated E for Everyone.
