Kicking off the Xbox E3 2018 press conference was the big reveal of Halo Infinite, the latest game in one of Microsoft’s most popular franchises, developed by in-house studio 343 Industries. Watch the cinematic trailer above (more of a tech demo, really), featuring the new Slipspace engine.

As teased toward the end of the trailer, Halo Infinite will focus on Master Chief, continuing the main Halo story line from Halo 5.

The Slipspace Engine was created by 343 Industries specifically for future Halo games, beginning with Halo Infinite. The game, art, and tech elements are still in full production. We’re a long way from even getting a release date for Halo Infinite, and Microsoft isn’t keen on sharing any details yet.

In fact, we probably won’t hear much, if anything, about Halo Infinite until next year’s E3. But it will eventually be coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
