You can’t release a AAA game these days without at least a roadmap of post-launch content ready to go. This week Ubisoft detailed the DLC plans for Assassin’s Creed Origins, as well as what all is included in the Season Pass.
Assassin’s Creed Origins launches October 27 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
The first post-launch DLC is The Hidden Ones. It’s a story-driven expansion that takes place years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins. It takes place in a new region with an occupying Roman force. It will also extend the level cap. It’s out January 2018.
The second DLC is The Curse of the Pharaohs. It’s also a story-driven expansion, this time delving into Egyptian mythology. It takes place in a new mystical realm full of Anubis warriors, scorpions, and undead pharaohs. It will extend the level cap even further and include new abilities. It’s out March 2018.
The Season Pass will include both DLCs. It will also include two customization packs: The Roman Centurion and Horus packs when they’re released in November. At launch you’ll receive 500 Helix Credits and the Calamity Blade exclusive weapon.
Pre-order any version of Assassin’s Creed Origins to get the bonus missions Secrets of the First Pyramids. The Deluxe Edition comes with the Naval Missions Ambush at Sea as well as the Desert Cobra customization pack.
The Gold Edition comes with all that, as well as the Season Pass. There are also three different Collector’s Editions which come with all kinds of physical goodies.
Assassin’s Creed Origins will also have a number of post-launch free content. The Trial of the Gods features timed events and boss battles against Egyptian gods. It’s available 15 days after launch. A merchant gives out daily quests in The Nomad’s Bazaar, available at launch. Fight waves of enemies in the Gladiator Arena in Horde Mode, coming early 2018. And the previously announced Discovery Tour mode lets you learn about Ancient Egypt in a combat-free setting. It’s also available early 2018.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is out October 27 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s rated M for Mature.
