Fans may remember Oceanhorn – Monster of Uncharted Seas as the iOS Zelda-lookalike game that came out in 2013. Since then, it has launched on a number of different consoles including the PS4. Now Oceanhorn is coming out for the PS Vita today, May 17th following popular demand.

Oceanhorn is an adventure RPG modeled most clearly after Zelda games like The Wind Waker and A Link to the Past. Its developers, Cornfox & Bros., created the game as a love letter to the franchise as well as other JRPG classics like Final Fantasy and the Mana series. Oceanhorn is set in a fantasy world called Arcadia that is largely made up of islands in the sea. The protagonist is a young man whose father goes missing, leaving behind only a letter in his wake. Using the contents of the letter, the protagonist discovers his father’s old notebook and a necklace. These two clues lead him out into the Uncharted Seas as he struggles to untangle the mystery and come up against the infamous sea monster Oceanhorn.

The PS Vita version of the game introduces the Touch Screen feature for casting spells and using the menu. It also includes support for PlayStation TV for players wishing to experience the action on the big screen. Oceanhorn can be purchased through the PlayStation Store for $22.95 USD.
