The third annual PAX South convention takes place this weekend, January 27-29 in San Antonio, Texas. The convention features an expo hall full of gaming-related vendors, indie developers, and large publishers. The big news is that Nintendo will be at the convention showing off their upcoming console, the Nintendo Switch. This will be one of the first times the public will have a chance to try the new console, which launches March 3.

The PAX Arena features competitive gaming – this year PAX South will host the Winter Premiere Finals tournament for Overwatch.

Panels take place throughout the weekend, ranging from talks by YouTube personalities to University academics and game developers. See here for the full schedule of panels at PAX South 2017.

Every PAX is home to gaming, but PAX South in particular specializes in tabletop board gaming. PAX South features the Tabletop Indie Showcase, where indie designers can submit their game to be included in this large booth presence on the show floor.

PAX South will also feature the usual PAX features of console and VR free play rooms, musical performances, and board game tournaments.

Twitch is always on-hand for live streaming from the convention from the center of the expo hall. If you can’t attend the show, Twitch has you covered. You can find a full schedule of Twitch live streams throughout the weekend here.
