Ratings tracking service Nielsen has released their data on the most anticipated games of the holiday season. According to GameSpot, the top multi-platform picks are Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1. They’re closely followed by Final Fantasy XV and Batman: Return to Arkham.

The ratings measure a variety of factors including awareness and purchase interest.  Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 both have a 96% score, while Final Fantasy and Arkham have 95% scores. But that’s just the multi-platform games. When you get down to exclusives, there’s even more excitement.

For Xbox One, Gears of War 4 has a 99% score. On the 3DS, Pokemon Moon carries a 99% score while Pokemon Sun carries a 98% score. Not sure why there’s a difference there. Maybe people like night better than day?

On PlayStation 4, Batman Arkham VR is actually the most anticipated with a 95% score. The second most anticipated is Rise of the Tomb Raider – 20 Year Celebration with a 91% score. Finally the most anticipated game for the Wii U is Paper Mario Color Splash and on the PC the most anticipated is Civilization VI.

It will be interesting to see how all of this anticipation translates into sales in the coming months. For the full rundown of all of the games hit up the GameSpot article.
