Kit Harington, the actor who portrays Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, is playing a bad guy in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. According to Polygon, director Guy Ritchie is also onboard to “lend additional support to the production.”

The game’s narrative director Taylor Kurosaki said, “Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front.”

“Guy Ritchie is a friend of the franchise, so it was great to have him back to work with us, assisting in bringing Kit Harington’s character to life in Infinite Warfare,” Infinity Ward studio head Dave Stohl said.

Previous Call of Duty games have enjoyed the talents of other big name actors like Kevin Spacey, who also played the villain in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Harington is no stranger to VO work as he voiced the part of Eret in How to Train Your Dragon 2, also an antagonist. I guess lots of film actors are good at voicing villains in digital form.

Guy Ritchie is a director who unfortunately is probably best known for marrying Madonna. However he has directed some well-known films like Sherlock Holmes.

Harington is of course most known for his part of the murdered and now-resurrected Jon Snow on Game of Thrones. The character has gone from a snobby brat to one of the few heroes on the show. Jon Snow was a huge part of season 5 and now 6 as speculation over whether the character was really dead became quite heated leading up to the premiere of season 6. Unlike most other outlets, I am not going to talk about his hair. Oh, wait. I  just did, didn’t I? Sorry, Kit.

In any event Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set for a release this November. You can watch the reveal trailer above.
