Microsoft has “by the way” confirmed that the upcoming ReCore is coming to PC, as well as Xbox One.

The news was dropped in a post on Xbox’s news blog by corporate vice president Mike Nichols, who discussed the company’s 2015 accomplishments and 2016 plans.

Nichols listed the 2016 Microsoft exclusives that have been announced so far, including Xbox games, Windows 10 games, and games that will ship on both Xbox One and Windows 10. On that list is ReCore.

ReCore was first announced at E3 2015, with a touching trailer about a girl and her very doglike robot.

As we learn from the trailer, the robot’s core contains its life-force. That core can be moved to other robot bodies in case of, well, destruction.

ReCore comes from former Mega Man producer Keiji Inafune, Comcept (Mighty No. 9), and Armature Studio (Metroid Prime).

Microsoft says ReCore will be released in 2016.

We’re pretty excited about it. ReCore looks beautiful, and robots have always been our weakness.
