The Steam holiday sale had its ups and downs, what with all the accidental identify theft on Christmas day. But as far as ups go, you might be interested to find that Garry’s Mod sold its ten millionth copy during the holidays. Creator Garry Newman reacted to the stats on Twitter.

Originally a mod released for Half-Life 2, Garry’s Mod has grown into its own thing. Newman created Facepunch Studios in 2006 to continue working on the game. They also released Rust, a brutal survival game.

According to GameSpot, Facepunch is working on a Garry’s Mod sequel with VR functionality.

Congrats to Facepunch and Garry Newman! Here’s to many mods to come.
