The last remaining League of Legends team from the United States, Cloud9, lost their last game and got eliminated yesterday at the League of Legends World Championships. They lost three straight games to ahq e-Sports Club, a team from Taiwan.

The tournament quarterfinals continue all this week. After the semifinal round in the last week of October, the final two teams will face off in the finals on Halloween. Remaining teams are:

According to the website, the tournament includes officially invited “top teams from Korea, China, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau, North America, and Europe.” There are also wildcard teams that qualify through an International Wildcard Tournament.
The prize pool is more than $2 million. First place gets $1 million, second place gets $250,000, and third and fourth place get $15,000 each.
