Sony is releasing a special Darth Vader-edition PlayStation 4 and DualShock 4 controller. The new Darth Vader PS4 will be available as part of two different Star Wars bundles available November 17th.
The first bundle will include the deluxe version of Star Wars Battlefront and a voucher for four downloadable Star Wars games. The games are: Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars Bounty Hunter. All four games will come to PS4 with improved graphics and PlayStation Trophy support.
The second bundle—the Disney Infinity bundle—will include the Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars Edition PlayStation Exclusive Hardware Bundle Kit, which consists of the game, the base station, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia, and Boba Fett figurines. This bundle will also come with vouchers for the four Star Wars games listed above. (Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars Edition hits stores August 28, though.)
You can check out the Darth Vader hardware below. The PlayStation blog says the very cool-looking hardware is “fully customized.” The controller is “inspired by Darth Vader’s chest panel and features the repeated Star Wars logo on its touchpad.”
In a widely reported 2014 poll, Darth Vader was named one of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe. He’s also one of the most popular villains in movie history. According to Wikipedia and the American Film Institute, he is the “third greatest movie villain in cinema history…behind Hannibal Lecter and Norman Bates.“
