The majority of Electronic Arts’ E3 2017 press conference was dominated by Star Wars Battlefront 2. While the previous big Battlefront announcement was the new story mode, the focus at the conference was on multiplayer. A new gameplay trailer was shown as well as new DLC details and a full 20v20 multiplayer match.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 will feature multiplayer battles from all three eras of the Star Wars franchise: Original Trilogy, Prequels, and the recent films. Four classes will be available: Assault, Heavy, Officer, and Specialist. Each class has its own stats, equipment, and special abilities that can be customized.

You can also earn Battle Points throughout a match. Battle Points can be spent to unlock and play as unique heroes and vehicles, such as Rey and Darth Maul. Each hero has unique abilities, such as Darth Maul’s Choke Hold and Spin Attack.

Janina Gavanker, voice of Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Imperial heroine Iden Versio was on stage at the EA Play event. She revealed that all of Star Wars Battlefront 2’s DLC will be free. EA and DICE will support the game with themed seasonal updates and content. The first season is coming in December and will be inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi (opening in theaters in December). Finn and Captain Phasma will be included in this free update.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be out November 17 for PC (Origin), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
