FIFA is one of EA’s most popular franchises, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that FIFA 18 is coming to Nintendo Switch this year.

“FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch is the best FIFA you can take with you anywhere, play anytime and with anyone,” said Producer, Andrei Lăzărescu. “We’re delivering the immersive and authentic experience that fans expect from FIFA, while leveraging innovative ways to play both at home and on the go with Nintendo Switch.”

The Nintendo Switch version will feature multiple control schemes for single or dual Joy-Con and Pro Controller. All modes will be available, including Career, Kick Off, Local Seasons, and FIFA Ultimate Team. Local multiplayer will be available for Local Seasons.

FIFA 18 will also continue the story of Alex Hunter, the RPG-like career story mode that first debuted in last year’s FIFA 17. With Alex Hunter already a soccer star, the story will follow where his career takes him and which team he ends up joining.

FIFA 18 will be available on September 29 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A Legacy Edition is also coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. You can pre-order the Ronaldo Edition of FIFA 18 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC to receive three-day early access and up to $60 worth of additional content.
