The good news: popular Sega MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 is headed for PC in North America next week, on May 27. The bad news: it’s arriving on the oft-maligned Windows 10 Microsoft Store. But hey, at least we’re getting a Hatsune Miku event.

Phantasy Star Online 2 launched back in 2012 in Japan on PC and later on consoles, and finally began arriving in North America beginning in April of this year on Xbox One. The North American version of Phantasy Star Online 2 features years worth of balancing, updates, and patches.

In the free-to-play action-MMO, players can choose from four races and nine classes to go on missions, enjoy Casino mini-games, and socialize in the Alliance Quarters. The PC version will be fully compatible with the Xbox version, allowing players from both platforms to play together.

Digital pop star Hatsune Miku will arrive in the world of Phantasy Star Online 2 in the form of special items. Players can use Arks Cash Scratch Tickets to get themed clothing and accessories from Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka and Kagamine Rin & Len. The event is available now on Xbox One.

“We’re thrilled to announce the long-awaited arrival on PC,” said Fred White, PSO2 Head of Marketing. “There’s a loud and passionate PC fanbase who has been patiently waiting for the North American version – we can’t wait to welcome them in. There will be login bonuses waiting for them with more surprises planned in the coming months.”

Phantasy Star Online 2 is available on Xbox One, and coming to PC (Microsoft Store) May 27. It’s rated T for Teen.
