One of the most widely anticipated games of the year just came out and…it’s perhaps a little less exciting than we thought it would be. Despite high reviews, Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs has garnered flack for its socially insensitive and generally mediocre storytelling. Its strengths are in the diversity of missions and mini-games and the grandiose scale of its setting.
Watch Dogs is an open-world action-adventure game set in a noir-esque Chicago where your every move is tracked by a massive operating system. Players operate as Aidan, a hacker on a revenge mission. Aidan uses his hacking skills, stealth, and violence to meet his goals.
Watch Dogs is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The ESRB has rated it M for Mature.
