Splatoon Raider is a single player spinoff of the Splatoon series, as players embark on short missions to recover treasures and upgrades from endless waves of Salmonid enemies.

Story & Themes
In Splatoon Raiders, players are the customizable pilot and mechanic of the famous pop music group, Deep Cut. When the plane goes down in an archipelago, the group creates a floating base of operations to explore the region and reveal their second passion: treasure hunting!
As with the Splatoon series, Raiders is a third-person shooter where players spray paint on the ground, and to defeat enemies. Players can reload and heal by transforming into their small squid form and diving into the ink to quickly move around. Players can also wield a variety of weapons, including guns, grenade launchers, and sword-like brushes.
Whereas the Splatoon series is focused on online multiplayer matches, Raiders gives players short but action-packed missions. Each island mission is filled with waves of Salmonid enemies of different abilities, sizes, and power, and players must defeat them while gathering treasures and upgrades.
Splatoon Raiders infuses Splatoon's kid-friendly shooter mechanics (paintball!) with an easy-to-play single player mode, with variable difficulty. Players can also play online by helping others, or requesting help on missions.
Save Points
There's no way to manually save, but the game auto saves after each raid, as well as when modifying weapons or the base. A typical raid usually lasts less than five minutes.
Difficulty
Splatoon Raiders features three different difficulty levels, Tourist, Raider, and Survivalist. Changing the difficulty alters the strength and numbers of the Salmonids, but doesn't change any loot or rewards.
Heads Up!
Violence Splatoon Raiders is still a shooter, and players will defeat lots of cartoonish fish monsters by spraying them with paint-bullets or wacking them with an inky brush. Combat is fast-paced and action-packed, with weapons meant to mimic their real-world counterparts (but with paint!).
