Arkane Lyon are the developers behind the excellent stealth-action first-person Dishonored series. During the Bethesda E3 2019 press conference, they announced their newest project. It’s called Deathloop. Like Dishonored and Prey, it’s a first-person action game. It features a murderous Live, Die, Repeat situation of respawning upon death and repeating the same day.
We don’t know much about Deathloop beyond the nifty trailer shown at the conference, featuring two assassins. Here’s the official description:
Deathloop transports players to the lawless island of Blackreef in an eternal struggle between two extraordinary assassins. Explore stunning environments and meticulously designed levels in an immersive gameplay experience that lets you approach every situation any way you like. Hunt down targets all over the island in an effort to put an end to the cycle once and for all, and remember, if at first you don’t succeed… die, die again.
