Snail Games is developing a VR multiplayer game, ARK Park, based on ARK: Survival Evolved. They already announced a release date of March 22, which is during the Game Developers Conference. It’s coming to HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, and Oculus Rift.

ARK Park creates a realistic dinosaur theme park within a virtual reality world. It doesn’t feature a set plot, though there is a Story Mode featuring rampaging dinosaurs. It’s heavily featured in the above trailer.

The VR game is designed to be more of an immersive experience. Players can freely traverse the prehistoric park at their leisure. Eggs can be collected and incubated to hatch more dinosaurs. Visitors can also hunt and collect gene cubes scattered around the different levels, and use them to unlock blueprints and craft new tools and items.

The dinosaurs are specifically drawn from the many available in popular online dinosaur survival game ARK: Survival Evolved.

“ARK Park takes the world of ARK: Survival Evolved into a wonderful and haunting new direction. It embraces virtual reality while offering players the tight gameplay mechanics from its predecessor,” says Tianqi Wu, vice president of Snail Games. “We’re thrilled to deliver Snail Games’ first VR title to our fans in March – and we couldn’t be more pleased with the team’s hard work throughout the development of ARK Park.”

ARK Park will launch on HTC Vive, PSVR, and Oculus Rift on March 22.
