The stylish indie-developed game Cuphead won’t be coming until the middle of next year. The developer made the announcement in a post on their website.

“Throughout this year we discussed reducing the scope to make a 2016 release, but we made the difficult decision to delay the launch in order to ship with our vision intact. We are happy to announce that Cuphead will be coming to Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam in Mid-2017.”

The main reason Cuphead has captured so much attention is because of its unique art style that looks like an old cartoon from the 30s. The gameplay is an action platformer. It’s been shown off by Microsoft in their last 2 E3 press conferences. I got a chance to play the game at E3 2015, but there wasn’t much available to play, so it was hard to form any kind of opinion.

The game has been in development for some time now. Hopefully that means we’ll see a game that lives up to its cool art style.
