This month, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series reached a major milestone, and the company is celebrating with the release of The Ezio Collection. To date, the series has sold over 100 million copies, joining the ranks of other hit franchises like Mario, Pokémon, and Call of Duty. The milestone comes as an affirmation of all the hard work that Ubisoft’s development teams have done over the years. However, the company promises fans that the future will be even brighter than the past.

“Creating an Assassin’s Creed game is no easy task. It takes the creativity and hard work of many people in many different Ubisoft studios all over the world,” says Martin Schelling, senior producer. “To have this franchise join the ranks of those that have reached more than 100m sold is a testament to the teams that have taken on that challenge over the years.”

To kick things off, Ubisoft has announced a bundle of games called The Ezio Collection. The collection will highlight Assassin’s Creed’s best-loved protagonist, Ezio Auditore. The three games that feature Ezio — Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations — are all being revamped and enhanced for release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Ezio Collection will also include two short films that delve into Ezio’s backstory: Assassin’s Creed Embers and Assassin’s Creed Lineage. Revisiting Ezio’s story is the perfect way for fans to get in the mood for the Assassin’s Creed movie that comes out on December 21st. While Ezio isn’t the star of this film, it does feature a new assassin during a similar period of time.

The Ezio Collection will be available on November 15th for PS4 and Xbox One.
