In honor of the 10th anniversary of Dead Rising, Capcom is releasing three games in the series on current generation platforms. The original Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record are now available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Dead Rising can also be downloaded on Steam for players who’d prefer to experience the game on PC.
Dead Rising is a classic survival horror franchise in which players must fight off hordes of undead. The first game was released in 2006 and tells the story of Frank West, a photojournalist who ends up in a Colorado mall that is overrun by zombies. The sequel switches to a different protagonist, Chuck Greene, who is a motorcycle racer in a zombie-infested casino town in Nevada. Off the Record is a remake of Dead Rising 2 that recycles the same storyline but with Frank West as the protagonist.
All three games can be purchased digitally for PC, PS4, or Xbox One for $19.99 USD. Fans can also purchase a physical copy of Dead Rising for PS4 or Xbox One as of today. Dead Rising 2’s physical release is set for September 27th.
