“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has turned in epic sales numbers so far in the U. S. and Canada. It grossed nearly $238 million in its first weekend, beating out hugely popular rivals like Jurassic Park and the Avengers. But not in Japan.

“Star Wars” came in second to the Yo-Kai Watch movie, selling 975,000 tickets to Star Wars‘ 800,000 (though Star Wars raked in more money overall due to higher ticket prices).

“Yo-Kai Watch the Movie 2: King Enma and the 5 Stories, Nyan!” is based on the video game series. If you’re unaware of it, it’s a monster-collecting game along the lines of Pokémon. The fist Yo-Kai Watch movie came out last December, making $64 million. There’s also an anime television series based on the games.
