Activision Blizzard announced that World of Warcraft’s subscribers have fallen to 5.5. million, down 100,000 since about three months ago. This will also be the last time Blizzard reports subscriber numbers, instead opting to focus on other metrics; we don’t yet know what those metrics might be, though.

Blizzard’s other games are doing better–Diablo III just passed 2 million sales in China, and the Overwatch beta has 7 million sign-ups. Hearthstone is doing especially well. As for the Activision side of things, Destiny is gaining players with 5 million new players in three months.

Things might change for World of Warcraft with the release of Legion, the new expansion, which doesn’t yet have a release date. It’s unlikely that the MMO will see the subscription numbers that it had in its heyday, though.
