Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is a remastered collection of the first three Uncharted games: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. As you can tell, the collection is named for the series’ titular character, Nathan Drake.
It will be the first Uncharted game released for PlayStation 4, and it’s coming out this October 9. The collection will be a chance for new fans to catch up before Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End comes out next year, and a chancefor old fans to relive the series. Only the singleplayer campaigns are included in this collection. If you’re waiting for more Uncharted multiplayer, it’ll be in Uncharted 4.
The game is rated T for Teen for blood, language, suggestive themes, use of tobacco, and violence. The content, and the stories, are pretty much in the same vein as the Indiana Jones movies. Nathan Drake is a thief and treasure hunter with a heart of gold. He and his off-and-on companions travel across the world to seek their fortunes and uncover mysteries. There’s some supernatural stuff involved, as well as old friends and enemies and power-hungry nemeses to trip Drake up.
The games have been totally visually remastered for the PlayStation 4, and there will be new gameplay trophies to hunt as well. Sony says the game will run at 1080p with 60 frames per second. Changes to the controls, which were introduced in the series’ later games, will be applied to the earlier ones as well.
While the original Uncharted games—as well the upcoming one—are developed by Naughty Dog Software, the Nathan Drake Collection is from Bluepoint Games. It is a PlayStation 4 Exclusive.
