The Pokémon Company International announced today that Pokémon Shuffle Mobile is now available in the App Store and on Google Play—and it’s free. This is the first Nintendo game to migrate to smart phones after a release on traditional consoles.

Pokémon Shuffle Mobile is basically a match-3 game with Pokémon. Players can match up the Pokémon in order to fight wild Pokémon, which can then be caught if they are defeated, just like in the normal Pokémon games. You can also level up your Pokémon, of course, and evolve them into cooler ones.

“With over 150 Pokémon available at launch, deep strategy-driven gameplay, intuitive controls, and dazzling visuals, Pokémon Shuffle Mobile has something for everyone,” says the Pokémon Company.

The game is attached to Facebook, like most mobile games are. And, although it’s free, there will be in-game purchases. This is carried over from the original 3DS version, which also had in-game purchases.
