Do you know how to think with Portals?

Valve, the makers of Portal and Portal 2, launched a program to bring Portal into classrooms. It’s called Teach With Portals, and it helps teachers make curriculum that uses Portal 2 and the Portal 2 Puzzle Maker.

Portal is a physics game, so by using the Puzzle Maker to make levels, kids can think about and apply physics principles—and then play with them! It’s a great, interactive way to get kids excited about science.

There are tons of lesson plans available on the site as well—check them out here.

We sat down the Portal 2 project lead Josh Weier to talk about his experience with the game and what he thinks about the educational benefits of games. He had some really great insights.

What do you think of using Portal to teach? Sound off in the comments below.
