Team17 and developer Beehive Studios have released LumenTale: Memories of Trey, a creature collecting RPG, on Steam PC and Nintendo Switch (also compatible with Switch 2). It’s currently available with a 10% discount during launch week, through June 9 ($22.49).
Players who purchase within the first month will earn the Early Adopter’s Bonus Pack, which features exclusive furniture and other in-game goodies. A Deluxe DLC pack includes even more furniture, Holo Cards, Billia, and more items.
LumenTale stars Trey, a young man (and cyborg?) with amnesia who awakens in the world of Talea. Talea is filled with fantastical creatures called Animon. In addition to the usual elemental type affinities, each Animon also belongs to one of five emotion groups, with each group relating to a different emotion (with their own in-game boosts and bonuses).
Trey can discover and capture new Animon in the world, as well as during battle. Over 140 Animon exist in Talea, as well as Lost variants. Turn-based battles range from 1v1 all the way up to an impressive 4v4 party wide brawl.
Trey can also visit the Anispace, a special home base that can be fully customized with crafted and purchased furniture. It’s where your Animon hang out after capture, and await training.
While designed as a single player adventure, LumenTale also supports online PvP and trading. Players can trade Animon directly with friends, or use the Trade Station to place requests with the community.
LumenTale: Memories of Trey is available now on Steam PC and Switch. It’s rated E for Everyone with Alcohol and Tobacco Reference, and Mild Fantasy Violence.
