Critically acclaimed indie studio and haters of capital letters, 11 bit studios, have announced their first-ever showcase. The 11 bit studios Digital Showcase will stream live on December 8 at 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern. The showcase will stream via IGN and 11 bit studios YouTube channels.
That’s just a few days ahead of The Game Awards, which airs December 11.
The 11 bit studios Digital Showcase will feature new details and info on the studio’s existing games and DLC plans, including Frostpunk 2 DLC, Moonlighter 2 Early Access, and new content coming to The Alters.
I’m guessing the Showcase will sync up with the launch of Death Howl, an upcoming turn-based deckbuilder with a Dec. 9 release date, and published by 11 bit studios.
It’s also safe to assume we’re getting at least one completely new game announcement. Why host an entire Showcase otherwise?
Hailing from Poland, 11 bit studios made waves in 2014 with This War of Mine, a serious, sobering, well-balanced strategy roguelike of surviving in a war-torn country. That was followed up in 2018 by Frostpunk, another darkly serious and well-designed real-time strategy game of post-apocalyptic survival, which recently spawned a sequel.
This year the studio released The Alters, another successful sci-fi strategy game with a unique cloning angle. They’ve also published several solid indie titles, including Moonlighter, Children of Morta, and Creatures of Ava.
In other words, this is an indie studio that puts out nonstop bangers over the last decade, so heck yeah they deserve their own showcase!
The 11 bit studios Digital Showcase will stream on December 8.
