During the Humble Games Showcase, Studio Pixanoh revealed Town of Zoz, an action-RPG-town-life-sim, coming to PC and consoles later this year.
Town of Zoz starts Ito, a budding “Shaman Chef” who returns to his hometown, which harbors some dark secrets.
Ito knows the best way to make friends is through food. And the best way to get food is by slaying delicious monsters!
Armed with a machete and a spirit companion named Zee, Ito carves through enemies in single player, or local co-op. Use ingredients to create magical meals to feed townsfolk and build trust, unlocking new companions, dialogues, and better gear. Or eat the food and gain useful buffs for future excursions.
Town of Zoz looks like a cool combination of life sim and action-RPG, not unlike Moonlighter (which was about running a shop, rather than a restaurant). Plus, a richly colorful art style.
Confirmed platforms for Town of Zoz include PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S. A release date beyond “2025” has not yet been announced.
Town of Zoz is published by Humble Games, and was one of two new world premieres from the Humble Games Showcase.
