The Games for Change 2025 Festival and Awards Ceremony is set for June 26-27 at the Parsons School of Design In New York City.
This year’s theme is “Designing for Tomorrow,” and explore how games cross generations, industries, and different perspectives.
Attendees of the two-day festival can enjoy keynote speeches, panels, and workshops. The three primary areas of interest are Games & Learning, Civics and Social Issues, and Health and Wellbeing.
This year, Games for Change will host a new Masterclass on June 25. Participants can learn critical topics, such as funding and game development, from industry experts.
“For 22 years, the Games for Change Festival has been a meeting ground for cross-sector innovation in games and immersive media,” said Susanna Pollack, President, Games for Change. “As our industry continues to evolve, we’re expanding our programming to meet the moment. Our new Masterclass series and enhanced awards program reflect the growth and excitement of our sector. We’re thrilled to return to Parsons, where we can build on this momentum and foster the next wave of collaboration and innovation.”
The Awards Ceremony will take place on June 26. Games for Change will honor and celebrate games in a variety of categories, including Best in Innovation and Most Significant Impact. This year introduces a new award category, “Best Platform-based Project,” which highlights ongoing, live service games that foster their own ecosystem, such as Roblox and Minecraft.
Speaker and award submissions are open until February 5.
