Crossy Road Castle has a new demo! My family has been completely hooked on this funny co-op platformer ever since it arrived on Switch earlier this Fall. And now more people can see why.

Indie developer Hipster Whale has released a free demo for Crossy Road Castle, currently available on the Xbox. The PlayStation demo is arriving next week on Dec. 28. The Switch demo has been delayed, and is now “coming soon.”

Crossy Road Castle is an arcade platformer that pits players against a series of randomized, bite-size levels. Originally released for Apple Arcade, it was ported to consoles earlier this year.

The demo actually includes a good chunk of content: the entire first tower, Unihorse Castle. Each tower features over 100 unique levels, presented randomly, and interspersed with challenging boss battles every 30 floors.

Unihorse Castle is also the first tower in the game, and a good starting point for new players.

As in the full game, players can tackle the roguelike platformer solo or co-op through local or online multiplayer. Up to four players can join together (demo players are limited to other demo players).

The full game features 11 towers, plus a ton of unlockable characters and hats.

Crossy Road Castle is available on PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, and Apple Arcade. It’s rated E for Everyone.
