Team17 Digital and developer Ambertail Games have released cozy shop and life sim Amber Isle on PC (Steam, $24.99). It’s also coming to Nintendo Switch on November 21.

Amber Isle is a village full of friendly, anthropomorphic dinosaurs called Paleofolk, and your job is to restore a failing store.

After customizing their own Paleofolk store owner, players will stock shelves, help customers, explore the region, craft new goods, and befriend the townsfolk. By helping townsfolk and completing quests, players can learn new crafting recipes.

With success, players can expand their shop with bigger spaces, more decor, and other improvements, and unlock new areas around the island.

Plus, like Animal Crossing and other life sims, happy Paleofolk will offer to move to the island permanently.

The island includes nearly 50 different kinds of Paleofolk to interact with, including Ice Age mammals and marine creatures, in addition to dinosaurs. If you don’t mind spoilers, the main website’s Paleopedia actually lists all 48 Paleofolk you can meet in the game.

The Deluxe Edition ($26.99) includes the Starter Pack DLC, which adds 10 clothing options, and some new wallpaper and decor for the shop. The digital soundtracks and art books are also available as separate DLC, or included in the Gold Edition ($34.99).

Amber Isle is available now on Steam, and coming next month to Switch. It’s rated E for Everyone.
